Plant Investigation
Today we will planned an investigation to find out how different conditions can change the way a plant grows.

Today we had a go at sketching the Painted Iris and Summer Snowdrop. This is a piece of artwork created by artist and botanist John Bolton.

This afternoon we spent some time identifying common plants and flowers around school.
Art Celebration
Thank you to everyone that joined us today for our Art celebration it was great to share our learning with so many people. A special thanks to York Bird of Prey Centre for bringing in some very special guests – what a fantastic surprise! A wonderful end to the term, you should all be very proud of yourselves.
The Cat Duet
In music we listened to a piece of music that was by an Italian man called Rossini in 1825. Rossini was famous for writing opera and composed a piece called The Cat Duet. We used this to create our own piece using the sounds of owls.
Skipping Workshop
Sneaky peak….
Our time in the Art Studio has come to an end and what a wonderful week we have had!
Without giving too much away here is a sneak peak of some of the things we have been up. It would be great if you could join our celebration on April 1st.
Materials Investigation
We planned and carried out an investigation to find out which material was the most suitable for a waterproof coat. We concluded that the most absorbent material was paper and the most suitable material would be plastic as the water ran off.
Properties of Materials
We worked with our talk partners to identify and describe the properties of different materials using key vocabulary.
